When I am talking to potential coaching clients, I ask them what they want to improve in their life.
The answer they provide is along the lines of they want more money, they want a better relationship, they want to lose weight, then want a better job. So as a Coach I ask them why they want those things? What will it do for them if they attain more money, a better relationship, a slimmer body, a better job? The answer is almost always, so they can feel better.
So they can FEEL BETTER. Ultimately everyone wants the same thing. They all have different routes to the solution they seek. They think if they just fix this one area of their life they will feel better. But ultimately in life, all of us just plain old want to feel better!
But if they do manage to make more money, have better relationships, lose weight and get a better job, they feel better for only a very short time. Then they wonder what else needs to change in their life so they feel better.
The bottom line is you need to feel better before you make more money, before you get a better relationship, before you lose weight and before the better job.
So how does a person feel better before they get the things that they think will make them feel better?
The trick my friend is...... you need to change your thinking.....
I know what you are thinking... well that doesn't help at all... what the heck do you mean, just change my thinking. Well here is the thing, our thinking is what determines how we feel. So if you want to feel better, than you need to change your thinking.
This is what I work with my clients on.
